The Use of Antibiotics Increases the Risk of Relapse in Patients with IBD

A population-based nested case-control based on the Danish National Patient Registry shows that certain kinds of antibiotics increase the risk of relapse in patients with IBD.
Gastroenterologist PhD student Bobby Lo presents the data and results of this study that helps us understand how antibiotics can affect IBD patients, which may have clinical implications for the treatment of these patients.
