Patients’ Experience of Home Parenteral Support Care in Denmark – A Balance Between Sufficient Support and Independence

Around 600 patients in Denmark rely on home parenteral support for survival. This qualitative study highlights key challenges to their quality of life, including dependency, fear of catheter infections from untrained staff, limited social life, and travel difficulties. Highly qualified staff in IF centers contribute to improved QOL.
