The Majority of Patients with Mantle Cell Lymphoma Probably Don’t Need Auto-Transplant in the Current Treatment Era
The commonly used part of the treatment for Mantle Cell Lymphoma is autologous stem cell transplant, in which high-dose chemotherapy is given in hopes of reducing the level of disease and giving the patient a longer first remission. The question is whether the autologous transplant component is still necessary for the more effective first-line therapeutics approved today.
