Suicide trends in the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic
This is the the first study to explore the potential suicide-related effects of COVID-19 based on data from 21 countries. Ellenor Mittendorfer-Rutz presents the main clinical data from the study. The results of the primary analysis showed that, in general, there does not appear to have been an increase in suicides since the pandemic began, at least in high-income and upper-middle-income countries.
