ELCC 2026: Integrating AI into Lung Cancer Practice
Ahti Vehmanen, Medical Student, University of Turku, Finland, presented at ELCC 2026 a review of how AI is perceived in lung cancer care. The study found that while doctors are generally cautious, trust in AI depends on transparency, workflow integration, and explainability. Multidisciplinary collaboration between clinicians and developers is crucial, and future research should focus on prospective clinical studies and controlled “sandbox” environments to evaluate AI integration in practice.
