Danish study shows increased mortality in patients with CLL and type 2 diabetes

Type 2 diabetes is associated with an increased mortality in patients with comorbid CLL mainly caused by predominantly infection. The study includes more than 10,000 patients from multiple Danish centers and from the Mayo Clinic in the USA, and was published in the American Journal of Medicine in May 2023. It is expected that the group of patients with CLL and type 2 diabetes will increase in the coming years.
