90% of Patients has Clinical Success with a New Peroral Endoscopic Myotomy

A new study has examined the use of a Superpulse Thulium Fiber Laser doing a Peroral Endoscopic Myotomy (POEM), which in 9 out of 10 patients had a successful outcome, led to a significantly shorter hospital stay, and entailed a reduction in the consumption of opioids and other analgesics. Dr. Khanh Pham, Haukeland University Hospital, Bergen, presents in this MEDtalk his abstract, which was accepted during this year’s UEG Week.
