Obese patients with axSpA have greater disease activity and spinal stiffness

Results from the largest European axSpA survey reveal a similar prevalence of overweight and obesity to the general population, but also that obese patients present greater disease activity, spinal stiffness, and poorer mental health. The study was presented at EULAR 2021, and in this MEDtalk Marco Garrido-Cumbrera, professor at University of Seville, presents the data.
