No Significant Changes in Incidence or Survival Rates of Acral Melanoma in Sweden

Teo Helkkula from Lund University presents a study on acral melanoma incidence and survival trends in Sweden from 1990 to 2020. The findings showed no significant changes in incidence or survival rates over these three decades. Acral melanoma often presents late, with over half of cases having a Breslow thickness of 2 mm or more, leading to higher mortality, especially in older patients.
