New technology gives important knowledge of myeloproliferative neoplasms
At this year’s ASH Meeting, Shira Rosenberg shared the results of genotyping of transcriptomes of CALR-mutated essential thrombocythemia patients. The study revealed that interferon-alpha promotes early lymphoid development and, uniquely in CALR mutated cells myeloid differentiation, providing a novel mechanism of actions underlying the effects of interferon-alpha in patients with myeloproliferative neoplasms.
