EAN 2025: Need for Tailored Assessment and Monitoring of Late-Onset MS

In this MEDtalk, Nicolò Tedone, PhD student at San Raffaele Scientific Institute, Milano, Italy presents a multiparametric MRI study comparing late-onset MS (LOMS) to Late-Onset Atypical MS. Despite similar disease duration, late-onset MS-patients show greater neurodegeneration and higher lesion burden. Nicolò Tedone stresses the need for tailored monitoring and inclusion of older patients in clinical trials to improve treatment strategies for this subgroup.
