Does breast density affect the risk of breast cancer?

Former studies report an increased risk of breast cancer in women with extremely dense and fatty breasts. Based on data from one of the regional populations-based breast cancer screening programs in Denmark, Professor in Epidemiology, Elsebeth Lynge, presents a new study suggesting less difference in breast cancer risk across levels of breast density than initially stated.
