Sanna-Kaisa Herukka, from the University of Eastern Finland, presents therapies beyond amyloid in the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease in this MEDtalk. At EAN 2024, she discussed potential tau therapies, drugs for neuropsychiatric symptoms, and the promising results of GLP-1 mimics, which have already shown clinically significant improvements in Parkinson’s disease and may also be effective in Alzheimer’s disease.
