AD/PD 2026: Amyloid Modeling and Biomarker Differences in Alzheimer’s Disease

In this MEDtalk from the AD/PD 2026 Conference, Marina Bluma, Assistant Professor at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden, presents a model to estimate amyloid accumulation from a single scan, based on consistent kinetic principles. The approach enables estimation of disease timing across patients. The study shows that plasma biomarkers, including p-tau217, differ between early and late amyloid accumulation.
