Monika Ehnman

Monika Ehnman received her PhD in 2010, and is currently a team leader and Assistant Professor in molecular sarcoma research at the Department of Oncology-Pathology, Karolinska Institutet. The main research focus of her sarcoma tumor microenvironment team at BioClinicum is to characterize how tumor cells make use of, and reprogram, normal host cells to participate in sarcoma progression. Since 2020, she is organizing the PhD course Tumor microenvironment at Karolinska Institutet, and she also teaches master students and bachelor students in cancer research. With her research, she aims to identify novel biomarkers and therapeutic approaches with principally different modes of action compared to the multimodal treatments of today.
