Joost L. Boormans

Professor Joost Boormans is Chair of Urology at the Department of Urology at the Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam. Prof. Boormans’ main clinical interests are bladder, upper tract urothelial, and testicular cancer. His main research interests are the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of urothelial cancer. He is the principal investigator of the CHASIT study. In addition, he is the principal investigator for the REBACARA trial, a Dutch upper tract urothelial cancer trial. Finally, Professor Boormans is leading a European consortium on the molecular characterization of upper tract urothelial carcinoma.
