Adjuvant Therapy in Stage III Melanoma

In this MEDtalk, Hildur Helgadottir, oncologist and Associate Professor at Karolinska University Hospital and Karolinska Comprehensive Cancer Center, discusses updated population-based data from Sweden on survival after the introduction of adjuvant therapy for stage III melanoma. Using data from the Swedish Melanoma Registry, the study compared patients diagnosed before and after adjuvant treatment became standard practice and found no improvement in melanoma-specific or overall survival.
