ELCC 2026: High Antidepressant Use Among Lung Cancer Patients

Morten Borg, PhD, Senior Consultant, Sygehus Lillebælt, and Clinical Lecturer, University of Southern Denmark, presented a 20-year Danish registry study at the ELCC Congress 2026. The study examined antidepressant use in lung cancer patients and showed that use was higher even before diagnosis and increased further in the years following diagnosis. Lung cancer patients also had lower educational attainment and more comorbidities compared with a matched cohort.
