EAN 2026: Improving Reference Limits for Nerve Conduction Studies

Tomasz Szczepanski, MD, MSc, PhD, Section for Clinical Neurophysiology, Department of Neurology, Oslo University Hospital, Norway, presented his PhD research on improving reference limits for nerve conduction studies at the EAN 2026 Congress. He discusses a novel method for deriving indirect reference limits by combining multiple nerve conduction parameters to better identify abnormal recordings, with the aim of improving the diagnostic accuracy of nerve conduction studies in neuromuscular disorders.
